Unison Human Resources: Foreign Recruitment, Placement, Environmental Settlement

FOR CANDIDATES

The Alberta labour shortage and on a larger scale, Canada's labour shortage are growing issues that Unison hopes to address with Canadian business owners by hiring foreign workers. However this solution cannot be complete without high quality candidates, a very integral part of Unison's total solution. We strongly believe the candidates that we place are representatives of Unison and work with employers to place the best possible candidates for each opportunity.

To be considered for a work term in Canada, please Email your resume application in MS Word format. While we appreciate all interest, in most cases only English speaking candidates will be considered.

The length of work terms will range from 12-36 months once agreements have been signed by the employer and candidate. It is the goal of Unison to be fair, accommodating and to ensure equal satisfaction for both employer and candidate. Prior to arriving in Alberta, Unison Human Resources will Coordinate all requirements for employee bank accounts, drivers licenses and government sponsored health care.

Over the past 100 years, immigrants from many countries have made the province of Alberta their home. Now, immigrants make up a significant percentage of the Alberta population of over 3.2 million people. The government encourages Canadians from every part of the world to take pride in their language, religion and heritage

Approximately one third of Albertans live in and around the city of Calgary, one third live in towns and villages elsewhere in the province and one third live in the greater Edmonton area. Edmonton, the provincial capital, is located in central Alberta. Calgary is located 300 kilometres to the south.
